This course covers all of the most common infectious conditions affecting children and young people. It also includes the less common but still potentially serious conditions such as Measles and Hepatitis C. The learner will understand the basics of how infections can spread and how to break the chain of infection, as well as being armed with recommendations on how to tackle cases of different infections in an education or residential care home setting. It contains specific advice of exclusion period so young people do not present a risk of cross infection.
