Person-centred Care

This course explains the role and importance of person-centred care in a health & social care setting. It also provides practical advice on embedding person-centred care

This course is written to support all staff within various sectors, however, it is especially applicable to the Health and Social Care Sector. Within the Health and Social Care sector there are a large number of “adults at risk” (vulnerable adults). Their situation places them at a greater risk from the lack of person-centred care. This course gives the learner an introduction to legislation and best practice around person-centred care. It explains the best ways to obtain information from service users and their families, and to use this in creating a fully tailored care regime. Importantly, it gives practical advice on putting person-centred care into practice plus how to recognise and avoid common barriers.
